Haute Mess: Sean Kingston

Sean Kingston's obnoxious pinky rings at Nickelodean's Kids Choice awards sends a bad message to the children! Don't pinky rings remind you of Bishop Don Juan and other pimp and hoe combinations? Oh yea, Sean, we get that your from Jamaica, loose the national garb already.

While Mr. Kingston may have been off of his fashion game there were a lot of celebs that showing the kiddies how to be haute.

New Mariah Carey- "Love Story"
This youtube video is of Mariah recording a new song off her album, E=MC2, called "Love Story". The song sounds like a "stone cold winner" (in the words of Mariah). Mariah has been releasing a lot of her news and new material via YOUTUBE (singing ala Mariah style). Is it a coincidence that she mentions the video sharing forum in her soon to be #1 single, "Touch My Body"? Hardly, Mariah is a smart girl.

NEW Mariah: "I'm That Chick" Live
Mariah Carey performed at MTV's season premiere of "The Hills" which had its highest ratings ever Monday night with over 4 million viewers. Mariah helped those ratings by performing three songs. She performed "Touch My Body" and "We Belong Together". She also performed "I'm That Chick" exclusively for MTV.com which saw over 2.2 million streams of "The Hills" premiere and Mariah's performance. As far as this song, this is the Mariah that we all love! A good grove, and stellar vocals. This album is shaping up to be classic. Keep checking back for more Mariah album news until the album drops April 15th.

Serena Williams Walks On Water

To kick off the Sony Ericsson Open tennis tournament in Miami, and the opening of the much-awaited Gansevoort South hotel on Miami Beach, the tennis stars played a spirited in water game of tennis Monday afternoon in the 110-foot long, 43,000-gallon swimming pool.
Balanced on acrylic, invisible platforms at either end of the Bisazza-glass tiled infinity edge pool for the players to stand, the water-covered court took seven days to build.
"This was a once in a lifetime chance to play tennis on water," says Serena Williams, the defending Sony Ericsson champ. "And it was a new challenge to play against Rafael. Especially since he volunteered to play at the deep end!"
Please notice how I resisted the temptation to point out that Serena looks manlier than Tameka Foster on a Saturday morning in the photo. You know you my n*gga Serena ;-).

Gayle King Now Oprah's Main Bitch

For years Gayle King, Oprah's alleged best friend, has secretly lived in the shadow of another bitch. This bitch was named Sophie, Oprah's 13-year-old cocker spaniel.
Back in January, Gayle King bought a $7M penthouse apartment in New York. How did Gayle finance this? It was revealed a few days ago that the penthouse was bought under the name of a company called Sophie's Penthouse LLC, as in Sophie, Oprah's dog.
Oprah's 13-year old cocker spaniel, Sophie, recently died. Coincidence?!? We think not!
Well played Gayle. Well played.

Haute Flash: Express Releases a Designer Collection

Popular retailer, Express, follows suit behind mega merchandisers Target and H&M and teams up with Topshop designer, Cynthia Birtwell.
CELIA BIRTWELL -- the British printmaker behind the legendary Ossie Clark -- is bringing her style to the States with a line of dresses and blouses for Express, the store's first-ever designer collaboration. And you'll want to mark the line's April 7 debut date: When Birtwell did a similar cheap-chic collection for Topshop in Britain, it immediately sold out.
Birtwell's romantic designs helped skyrocket the career of Clark, her late ex-husband and the designer who dressed Twiggy and Marianne Faithfull in the late 1960s. In February, Clark's label was revived on the London runways, but it lacked Birtwell's participation -- and critical acclaim.
The Celia Birtwell for Express collection is true to Clark's style: fluid and sheer, with the flora and fauna that are Birtwell trademarks. A breezy red blouse is covered with Lily, one of her best-known prints. Floating Daisy, her famous psychedelic swirls, appears throughout the line.
Clark often used patchwork, a tradition Birtwell continues. The bodice of one dress is splashed with bold flowers, and its billowy sleeves are scattered with delicate buds. A '70s-style blouse mixes a lightly checked necktie with, yep, more flowers.
The collection will be carried in select stores, including at the Beverly Center, South Coast Plaza, Glendale Galleria, Brea Mall and Del Amo Fashion Center outposts. Blouses are $79.50 and dresses are $128 -- not cheap, but far less that the $7,895 that a 1969 Ossie Clark original is fetching on EBay.
Erin Weinger, Los Angeles Times
We shall see how it fares on its April 7th release. I'm not the hugest Express fan, but this designer might bring the brand the diversity its lacking.

12 Year Old Boy Hates Soulja Boy. Me Too.

This one just makes my heart smile:
A 12 year-old boy was arrested in Bloomington, Illinois last Thursday night (March 20) after he threw a rock at the windshield of rapper Soulja Boy’s tour bus. According to the Bloomington Pantagraph, the unidentified youth attacked the bus at around 7:40 p.m. near the Hampton Inn West on 906 Maple Rd. Soulja Boy had performed at the nearby U.S. Cellular Coliseum the previous night. Bloomington Police Lt. Pete Avery said that when officers asked the boy why he did it, he replied simply, “I hate Soulja Boy.” None of the passengers on the bus were injured during the incident.I feel so bad for that little boy. Only one child so far has had to strength and bravery to stand up against the tom-fuckery that is Soulja Boy. That boy was not alone though. He represents everyone who was hypnotized by Souljah Boy's dry music and was forced to Crank Dat. I challenge you all. We must rise up against Souljah Boy, stop buying his ring tones, stand motionless in the club when his music plays and show him that no MySpace artist will ever trick us into believing that they are a real artist ever again!

Coco's Camel Toe Turns 29 Years Old

I know what you're thinking. That camel toe can't be 29 years old already! But, through the wonders of modern science (botox injections) her vajayjay looks as young as it did when it first saw the light of day.

Coco celebrated her 29th Birthday at Plumm in NYC last night. Also in attendance was Kid Rock and Treach. I know, start studded. Ice-T celebrated his 50th birthday last month. Wow.
Mariah Carey Album News
With over 160 million albums sold worldwide, Mariah Carey is the most successful female recording artist in history. This year, Mariah returns to the marketplace with E=MC², the follow up to the 10 million selling #1 album, The Emancipation of Mimi.
'Touch My Body' is the deliciously daring first single from the upcoming album release, which has already set records for its massive reception at radio across the Top 40, R&B, R&B/Adult, and Rhythm/Crossover formats. The single exploded onto the charts before official impact on February 19, 2008! Written and produced by Mariah Carey, C 'Tricky' Stewart and The-Dream, 'Touch My Body' sets the stage for the next 'Mimi' world take-over...
The video for 'Touch My Body', directed by feature filmmaker, Brett Ratner (Rush Hour, X-Men), premiered globally on network and cable television, along with online outlets.
Mariah Carey is now positioned as the only active recording artist in the 48 years of the Hot 100 with the potential to surpass the Beatles' all-time high of 20 #1 hits, and has already tied Elvis Presley's record setting 17 #1s.
Executive Produced by Mariah Carey and Antonio "L.A." Reid, E=MC² will include offerings by hit-makers Jermaine Dupri, DJ Toomp, Stargate, will.i.am, Bryan Michael Cox, Nate 'Danjahandz' Hills and James Poyser.

TI's Still on House Arrest?

Clifford "T.I" never did get to finish having his public conversation with himself because he is still on house arrest for allegedly trying to buy illegal automatic weapons and silencers.
But he does get to celebrate Easter Sunday, which is great because they definitely didn't allow him to host a family gathering for Thanksgiving.
A federal magistrate judge ruled Thursday that the 27-year-old rapper, whose real name is Clifford Harris, can be away from home from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday for services by New Birth Missionary Baptist Church.
Harris is awaiting trial on weapons charges. He must be accompanied by a court-approved monitor and one of his attorneys, the judge said.
To be honest, I forgot all about this. They say he's awaiting trial but I doubt if they won't just take the bracelet off his leg in a few months and let him go on with his life.

Cruella de Vil has Nothing on Kimora Lee

KLS' 18-year-old dog Zoe recently died. And how does Kimmie plan to honor her beloved dog's memory? BY TURNING HER INTO DIAMONDS!
I kid you not! At the release party for her new fragrance, Fabulosity, Kimmie waxed psycho about what she might do to relieve her grief.
You have to ... grieve," she said. "It's okay to take time and say this meant something to my life and [to] honor it.
"There is a company that makes diamonds out of your loved ones," she said. "[They] make diamonds from a little of the carbon from the ash, so I might do that. I might turn her into a diamond."
HONESTLY? That's how you honor Zoe's memory? What happened to putting up a little picture, or burying her in the backyard with a little funeral service? At this rate, she really might be better off making a coat out of her!
I'm not sure if I'm more mad at the company for making diamonds out of deceased dogs and people, or at Kimmie for seriously considering it.

Vivica is Stylin'

Vivica Fox is getting her own reality show. Seriously. And no, it's not about how much plastic surgery her face can withstand before it implodes.
It's called Glam God with Vivica A. Fox and it's her version of the Apprentice/Survivor/Same format the apply to all reality shows, but it's for fashion stylists. And of course it's gonna be on VH1, home to washed-up celebr.
The winner will get $100,000 and become a personal stylist to an 'A-List' celebrity.
Now I wonder who that could be...
Hey I'm not gonna hate. If Elizabeth Berkley can translate Showgirls into a reality series on Bravo over TEN YEARS LATER, why shouldn't Vivi have her own show?

In Lieu of Leg Operation, Woman Assed-out

WARNING: Maybe NSFW
Okay now I know this is not my usual domain, but this was too crazy to pass up. A woman went in for an operation on her LEG, and instead came out with a new anus.
A German retiree is taking a hospital to court after she went in for a leg operation and got a new anus instead, the Daily Telegraph is reporting.
The woman woke up to find she had been mixed up with another patient suffering from incontinence who was to have surgery on her sphincter.
The clinic in Hochfranken, Bavaria, has since suspended the surgical team.
Now the woman is planning to sue the hospital. She still needs the leg operation and is searching for another hospital to do it.
Now in what world does a person, nay, an ENTIRE SURGICAL TEAM mix that up? Lord, help the world's medical system.
This ish is so crazy, FOXNEWS ran the story alongside the story 'Is your Vagina Depressed?'

Client #9's Hooker Offered $1M By Girls Gone Wild

Joe Francis's Girls Gone Wild has offered Ashley Alexandra Dupre, the ex hooker who brought down former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer, a $1 million deal for a photo spread and tour.
"Her face is on the cover of every newspaper in the country," Francis said in a statement. "It's clear that the public wants to see more of her. This is a serious offer and I hope she gets back to me right away."
Francis wants Dupre to share her side of the Spitzer story in print and DVD – though she would not have to pose nude – and tour with Girls Gone Wild.
The 22-year-old has already made over $200,000 from downloads of her songs, the New York Post reported Saturday.[via: Us Weekly]

Hello, Talk Dat Ish Entertainment is proud to introduce you to the most talented white girl to hail from a trailer park. Her name is Wendy Ho and songs like, “Bitch, I Stole Yo Purse!” has made her a superstar. Now you probably have never heard of Ms. Ho but allow me to tell you who she is....I love it.
Wendy Ho was raised in a trailer court, and overindulged with too many episodes of 227 and Good Times! However, this Nubian princess hasn't always been black. After moving to NYC from Kansas City, she spent years on the streets of Harlem hustlin, hoin, and flowin
Ho started writing songs about her experiences as a white trash girl gone ghetto ho in HarlemUSA. The Ho & Mo Show was widely acclaimed by audiences during her nine month residency at Therapy in NYC. Her very own monthly variety show, The Wendy Ho Show at Caroline's on Broadway featured headliners Judy Gold and Susie Essman. She is currently developing and starring in her own one woman show, The Gospel According to Ho, which features music from her debut album of the same title. She will steal your purse, warn you about the dangers of flossing your teeth before giving head, and demand that "you feather Susan's Loochey." Her debut video, "Bitch I Stole Yo Purse," is currently running on Logo's NewNowNext.

New Brandy Song- "Dig This"
B-rocka is back with this new song, Dig This, taken from Tyler Perry's "Meet The Browns" movie soundtrack. The movie hits theaters March 24th. This is the first we've heard of Brandy since she was officially cleared of any wrongdoing in the death of a California woman last year in a fatal car crash on the 405 in L.A.. Brandy has recently signed a deal with Epic Records and will release a new album later this year via Epic/Knockout featuring production from Rodney Jerkins, Brian Michael Cox, and the Underdogs. Brandy's albums always go pretty hard as far as R&B goes, so it should be an interesting year in music with the return of Brandy.

New Danity Kane Video: "Damaged"
Here is the new Danity Kane video for their first single, Damaged, from their new CD called "Welcome to the Dollhouse". I've followed Diddy and Badboy since the early 90's and I was shocked to see Diddy put together a traditional pop girl group, yes, even after Dream (especially after the disaster of Dream), but Danity Kane really hold their own in an industry heading more and more to an international pop sound. Diddy knows what works.

REMIX!: Mariah Carey "Touch My Body" featuring The Dream
This is the official remix for Mariah's latest single, Touch My Body. The song features The Dream who wrote the song along with up and coming songwriter, Crystyle. Dream is doing his R. Kelly-type thing. I don't know how I feel about The Dream, but the song and the remix are what's good.
ANTM is so Hood

This new season of ANTM is supposed to be more 'real'. She wouldn't even let the girls know how they were going to be made over because that's not 'real'. Well skipping out on the bill is about as 'real' as it gets.
The ANTM girls are being accused of causing $500,000 in damages and bouncing out on a $1500 electric bill in the 6 million dollar loft they stayed during the taping of the show. Tyra's company, Bankable Productions, has not paid the damages. So much for keeping it real. With all they're being accused of, Tyra and crew might as well have just moved in a crack dealer next store and had a money laundering service in the basement.
Sources say that the girls and crew basically trashed the place. "punched hundreds of holes in the ceiling to hang lighting equipment" and ruined the Brazilian wood floors, forcing the owner to tear them up and install all new flooring when the women moved out three weeks ago.
According to our source, while the beauties were staying in the 4,200-square-foot loft, they damaged a $15,000 chandelier beyond repair and splashed so much water around, the bathroom was ruined and had to be tested for mold.
"A plumber had to come fix the toilet and the water caused $90,000 worth of damage to the electrical store on the first floor"
Damn Tyra, that's a little too hood.

John Mayer tells Someone to Get the Eff off his Blog

Okay usually the love habits of John Mayer would not usually capture the attention of too many of Lenzism's faithful, but this ish is hi-freaking-larious!
John Mayer posted this on his blog earlier this week. If you don't know, he is something like a pimp, procuring skinny white girls that everyone loves in Hollywood. He's smashed Jessica Simpson, Cameron Diaz, Minka Kelly, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Vanessa Carlton, all in like the last year.
So we can only guess who he's talking about. Of course, he prefaces it by saying there's nothing behind the words, but um...come on.
I was sitting in the airport lounge this morning when I started scribbling out lyrics and such ...
Don't read too far into this on a personal level. (There are no hidden messages)... I just thought it sums up how crazy love can be.
Dear Ex Lover,
Perhaps you didn't understand the last time I told you to stop contacting me, so I'll do my best to spell it out for you. I do not wish to have you in my life anymore. I don't know how much more clear I can be about it. It would serve you best to move on with your life and find someone who can put up with you, because I'm done trying.
I hope this is enough closure for you.
Goodbye.
P.S. If you need me, you know how to find me.
Am I the only one who thinks Johnny is just bragging? Like he's saying: 'Take a note, all you wanna-be players out there: THIS is how you let a crazy b*tch who just wont stop down. On the internet. On your BLOG.
If your ex ain't so crazy over the bow-chica wow-wow that you have to put her business on the internet to get her to stop, step your game up!'
If he is, I think the gauntlet is down, and now everyone's gonna be trying to show who they can drive the craziest!

HAUTE FLASH: Andre 3000's Benjamin Bixby

The man has finally come out and done it! It was just a matter of time before Outkast's , Andre 3000, came out with his own line of clothing. Benjamin Bixby is the name of his line and consists of about 70 pieces. If you're wondering if his threads are going to be psychedelic brightly colored, then no. Actually his collection takes cues from the great depression's football uniforms. From what I've seen, it look super haute! Benjamin is looking to have Benjamin Bixby sold in Barney's retailers across the nation. Check this out for more info!!!

Wesley Jonathan Begging for Makeup on Myspace?

I don't even have words for this. I mean, this is really f-ed up. Apparently, this message was sent to all of actor Wesley Jonathan's Myspace friends.
Date: Mar 1, 2008 1:36 PM
Subject: VIOLATED AND HELPLESS!!!!!!
Body: I wouldn't normally do this or even ask anyone for help on something like this, but right now I'm at a lost.
As some may of you may know, my girlfriend does makeup and hair as a side craft to her acting. Its a hobby and great passion of hers and she's just as great at doing it. And as some may know (which as a man I don't but just found out and realized) Makeup is expensive and takes years to collect.
Last night, Denyce's car was broken into (vandalized) and 10 years of collecting, working and $15,000 worth of hair and makeup products (2 HUGE suitcases full) were stolen out of her car right out of her garage.
This isn't even about money. I can easily give her the money to go buy everything back or even go get it myself. But being a man and clueless to what shit is, I don't know where to start. From colors, to quality, to brands, to tools... all that sh*t is female sh*t. even hearing her cry and say she doesn't even know where to start, i feel helpless.
But I know that all that stuff meant the world to her and I want to help her. It will take forever for her to recoup all that was taken but a little bit here and there will help.
I came up with an idea that maybe some of you guys who are sympathetic, understanding and generous might be able to help me with! In return I'm willing to sign any autographs, leave voice comments lol, send a personalized gift, call anyone to wish a happy birthday or appearance or something equal to your help.
I was thinking for any one (male or female) who either is or knows makeup people. For anyone who even may have something in their own stash, If you're willing to donate products to help me give back to her what she lost. I can't replace the meaning behind the years of her collecting and I can't replace the sentiments but I want to try and do something for someone who does makeup to make others feel good about themselves and feel beautiful.
If you have a blush thing, a lipstick or gloss or a powder whatever you have extra, don't need or want, I'm asking if you wouldn't mind throwing it in the mail. I would be very greatful and I know it would mean the world to her. If you know folks who own makeup companies or something that wouldn't mind sending her a starter package if there is a such thing. I dont know how this shit works. All I know is, she has NOTHING! Not a brush, a mascara or anything anymore.
I'm not expecting a miracle, but I thought I could see how powerful this Myspace world really is and reach out to a few folks who knows what this violation is like.
Any and everything would be a start and appreciated.
You can send your donation to:
Denyce Lawton or Wesley Jonathan
PO Box 823
N. Hollywood, CA 91603
Thanks for taking the time to even read or consider.

Robert Downey is Playing a Black Man!
Robert Downey Jr. is giving us exactly what we've been missing since eighties hits like 'Soul Man': a white person in blackface! A description of the new film Tropic Thunder, directed by Ben Stiller:
In the film, which is a satire that takes aim at the egos of big Hollywood actors, Downey plays Kirk Lazarus, an Oscar caliber actor who ends up with a part that was originally written for a black man. Instead of recasting, Lazarus decides to dye his skin to play the character of Osiris, well, authentically
Oh yea. That's him in the middle of the picture. Wow.
Downey insists he hasn't gone too far, because he's not REALLY playing a black man by wearing blackface. He's playing a white man in blackface, which is, of course, muuuch better.
“At the end of the day, it’s always about how well you commit to the character,” he says. “I dove in with both feet. If I didn’t feel it was morally sound, or that it would be easily misinterpreted that I’m just C. Thomas Howell in [Soul Man], I would’ve stayed home.”

Rip The Runway: The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly

Did anyone else watch BET's Rip The Runway: Black Fashion , So Fly? Overall it was great! We loved it, especially all of the Howardites represented.
Yesterday was the biggest night in BET fashion, the place where music and fashion officially met. BET's Rip The Runway '08 had huge celebrities, the hautest new clothing lines, and super sexy models.
Last night, the [pre-recored show was taped] in New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom. Hosted by rapper Nelly and actress Lauren London, and executive produced this year by Diddy, the excitement of this year's Rip The Runway was amazing. Full of exclusive performances, celebrity models, designer fashions, and bangin' music, Rip The Runway [was defintely] a show you won't want to miss.
This year, BET featured the newest designs from fashion lines such as Sean John, Apple Bottom, Amaya Swimwear, Respect M.E., Zac Posen, and more. Even Snoop Dogg got his fashion on, when he debuted his line as well as that of his wife. "My wife got her line Coco Ri and I got my line Rich & Infamous and we’re just trying to come out here as husband and wife and push something out there for the people, something for the males, something for the females, something for the little boys. It’s a group thing right here," Snoop Dogg told BET.com back in the media room.
- "We Don't Walk, We Strut Down The Runway!"

See our picks for the good, the bad, and especially the ugly after the cut!

2. THE MODELS

3. ZAC POSEN
Yay, BET for not having all hood ish in the show! [and yes, last year's Stacy Adams feature and Steve Harvey suit collection is hood as h#ll!!!] I was so happy to see Hollywood's go to guy for fabulous frocks, Zac Posen, featured in the show. It was superb!

I hate to say it but...Making the Band 4 aka Day 26. They were horrible! Their voices weren't smooth, creamy, and melodic like they are on the show. I don't know what happened guys! Also, whoever the stylist for Bad Boy is needs to be shot dead right now!!!! What the heck where they wearing? Reminds me of some "Motown Philly back again" new age Boys II Men type stuff. There is no reason they should be looking like quadruplet powder puffs in those baby blue suede jackets! Ewww. Just ewwww.

I'm soooo sorry Cheri, but you've just been on our $#!t list lately. Can you guys hear that? YIKES and all that rolling around on the ground was sooo unnecessary! She is waaay too old to be doing all that, she's going to mess around and break a hip!

Madonna's New Single "4 Minutes" featuring Justin Timberlake
Madonna Featuring Justin Timberlake- "4 Minutes" (click here)
Madonna's new single from her forthcoming album, Hard Candy, due April 29th via Warner Bros. The album is supposed to include production from Danja, Pharrell, and Timbaland who produced this song. That's right Madonna is doing a hip-hop album, ha, but no seriously. Remember the last time Madonna tried her hand at hip-hop on her album, American Life? She rhymed "latte" with "pilates" and called it hip-hop. This could either be really good, or the worst career for Madonna, however, this first cut is interesting to say the least. Justin clearly saves the song, and it only took him 4 minutes, hmmm....Madonna take notes from JT.
America's Best Dance Crew
I'm a little late weighing in on this, but I'm sure that there are many of you out there that are as addicted as I am to "Randy Jackson Presents....America's Best Dance Crew" on MTV. Well for the remaining weeks I'll be posting the craziest dance crew of the week as I see it. This week goes "Kabba Modern".
Rihanna Just Says No to Um-ber-ellas-ellas

Rihanna has assembled a crack security team to save her fans from hurting themselves...with umbrellas. Because of several recent reports of not so bright British fans knocking themselves silly with an item most of us know how to use by the time were 4, the singer has banned (banned!) them from the UK leg of her tour.
A member of her security team insists they're just covering their *sses to avoid a liablity suit.
We were taking precautions over a potential accident. We were told Rihanna’s song features dancing with umbrellas on stage. We didn’t want the crowd following her actions and someone getting their eye poked out.
But I can just see Rhi-Rhi now, placing a logo on each confiscated umbrella and making a killing on her 'special collection'.
BTW, where exactly are they putting these umbrellas? Is there a giant room full of umbrellas somewhere? Or a special umbrella check area? What if it's raining? Can you get your sh*t back or is it just over?
So many questions!

Update: Suspect arrested in death of Juvenile's daughter

17-year-old Anthony Tyrone Terrell Jr. has been formally charged with the murder of Joy Deleston his mother, and also of his sisters Micaiah,11 and Jelani, 4.
Jelani was the daughter of rapper Juvenile.
Terrell is currently in custody in Atlanta. He is being held at a facility in DeKalb County rather than in Gwinnett where his mother worked, apparently to avoid a conflict of interest. Because he is a minor, prosecutors cannot seek the death penalty.

New Music: Shwayze - Buzzin

I'm gonna go ahead and say that Shwayze is the new hottness. Why? I think the song is hot and I think you should too. I think that's fair.
I couldn't find too much quality info on the group but they are an Indie/Hip Hop/Rap group based in Malibu. Their sound reminds me a little bit of Gym Class Heroes but I don't want to make too many comparisons. Check out their MySpace for some pics and more music.

Ja Rule Disses Ashanti?
Ja Rule has directed this song called "Judas" toward Ashanti and DMX. Ja Rule and rest of Murder Inc. have BEEF with Ashanti because she chose not to work with her former Murder Inc. family on her new CD, The Declaration, due later this spring. Ashanti began to distance herself from the label owner, Irv Gotti, when Gotti and his brother went on trial for money laundering and kept her distance even after they were acquitted of all charges. To add ish to the fan, Irv Gotti refused to deny assertions of Wendy Williams that he and Ashanti had an affair that ended his marriage to the mother of his four children. BTW, when is "Gotti's Way" coming back to VH1 that was FUN-NY!
Lil' Wayne Talks About His Syrup Addiction

Wayne recently spoke with MTV News and discussed his addiction to syrup and how just about everyone in his life is trying to get him to stop. Not to be confused with Sizzurp, the grape flavored cognac and vodka drink...
"No, he (Bun) hasn't talked to me," said Wayne. "But I'm going through that same sh-- with my friends, with my mom. Everybody wants me to stop all this and all that. It ain't that easy."
'Sipping Syrup' is a mixture of mostly promethazine and codeine, ordinarily prescribed by doctors for pneumonia and extreme colds.
"Do your history, do your research," Wayne continued. "It ain't that easy — feels like death in your stomach when you stop doing that sh--. You gotta learn how to stop, you gotta go through detox. You gotta do all kinds of stuff. Like I said, I'm a selfish-ass n---a. I feel like everything I do is successful and productive. It's gonna be hard to tell me I'm slipping. It's hard to sit and tell a n---a 'Stop.' 'F---, how can we tell this n---a to stop when every f---ing thing he do is successful? This n---a is making progress. He just went and talked to kids and that sh-- was amazing.' Feel me? So what am I doing wrong?"
Read the rest of the post after the jump.
"Let me do me," Wayne continued venting. "Everybody's got their thing, Why focus on me? Don't compare me to no one. Don't compare me to no one who has passed, and why they passed. I can walk out this b---h right now and get hit by a bus. Don't judge me. You wanna judge me, put on a black gown and get a gavel. Get in line with the rest of them that's about to judge me. I got court dates every other month. It's me against the world — that's how I feel."
Wayne continued on to discuss that aside from music, he has very little way of escaping the pressures of his career, especially after the heat has been turned up following his arrest last month in Arizona on drug and weapons charges.
"I don't escape. I don't. I'm too shelled-in by it. It's in my own circle. Everybody around here be looking down. I deal with it. ... I never been one to run. I stand there and take it and throw it right back at them b---hes. That's' always been my game."
Do You Really Want To See Diddy On The Big Screen?

MYRA PANACHE & PANACHE REPORT recently posted an interesting little rant about the trend of music artists jumping into acting. On one hand you can't knock someones hustle and on the other I feel like Diddy needs to take a seat and focus on his current projects... Thoughts?
A black site ran a headline last week, "Watch Out Denzel, Diddy Is Turning All Of His Attention To Acting." Denzel has nothing to worry about because Sean "Diddy" Combs cannot act and he lacks leading man talent and leading man looks. Although the recent TV premiere of "Raisin In The Sun," garnered big ratings, Diddy was the weakest link among the cast. His portrayal wasn't convincing and if he is serious about pursuing acting, he needs to attend acting classes.
Combs is allegedly getting in shape to portray an action hero in an upcoming film. Action hero roles require more physical endurance than acting chops, again, Diddy doesn't have the physique of an action hero, Boris Kodjoe would be more suited for this type of role.
A few years ago, a respected cable channel announced that Diddy had been selected to portray guitar blues legend Robert Johnson in an upcoming bio. This would be a travesty and blues purists were outraged. I know I won't be watching.
It was announced a few weeks ago that Beyonce will portray R&B legend Etta James. Again, why wasn't an "real" black actress considered for this role? Beyonce is not on the level of other entertainers who became successful actresses and actors like Diana Ross (Oscar nominee), Cher (Oscar winner), Frank Sinatra (Oscar winner) and Jennifer Hudson (Oscar winner). This is a miscast and Jennifer Hudson should have been considered for the role since the producers were determined to cast a singer in a role that should have gone to a black actress. I am a Beyonce fan but she needs to attend acting and diction classes.
The producers of "American Gangster," were seriously considering rap mogul Jay-Z (no acting experience) for the role of Frank Lucas until actor Denzel Washington expressed interest in the project. If Jay-Z would have gotten the part, it's doubtful the movie would have grossed as much.

Tiffany Evan's New Video- "I'm Grown" Featuring Bow Wow
This girl has a big future ahead of her in the industry and I'll give you a few reasons why. First, she's got name recognition, TIFFANY EVANS, learn it because you'll be talking about her soon. Secondly, there are a lot of young female artists out there trying to be the next Beyonce, but Tiffany Evans has all the right connections. Big name producers like Rodney Jerkins on this track, and an album promising production from The Clutch, Collipark, and Ne-Yo. Finally, her voice rivals that of Beyonce, and is a whole lot better than Rihanna's. Tiffany's self-titled album is due sometime this spring.
