Kitson on Robertson Blvd. in Los Angeles is reportedly dumping Lauren Conrad's clothing line because she didn't do much to promote it, which is disastrous because I don't think its sold in that many other places.
"Sales were lackluster," Kitson owner Fraser Ross told us. "Initially it was great. They need to realize it’s no different than selling your album, your TV shows, your movies. You have to keep promoting it."
Word around the sandbox is that Victoria Beckham's DvB denim line was recently dropped by the retailer also due to lack of promotion. This is a haute mess for both of them. How hard is it to promote a clothing line with your name on it? Shake a few hands, sign a few autographs, take a few pictures and, boom! You're done! Off to your mani-pedi appointment. See? Easy stuff.
