There was a bit of controversy stirred up by the band Oasis when the shows managers chose Jay Z as the headliner for the show to bring in a younger crowd. Noel Gallagher of the band Oasis reportedly said that hip hop didn't belong at Glasonbury and that the show was “built on the tradition of guitar music”. Jay Z responded by saying, “At the end of the day, these barriers that they have are only put up to separate us. There is only good music and bad music.” Jigga even went so far as to open the show singing, "Wonderwall" Oasis' most famous song and played the guitar. Priceless.
