Yesterday morning Google unveiled their Artists Themes feature which allows users to customize their homepages with the work of several leading fashion designers, interior designers, and artists. These leading tastemakers include Diane Von Furstenberg, Oscar de la Renta, Tory Burch and Dolce & Gabbana, whose signature prints have been digitalized and formatted to fit on the mega-site’s landing page. So how did Google decide upon these four fashion names? Who knows! They've kept the inside scoop so discrete you cannot even Google it ...baby! [sorry, I had to do it] The program does however ever describe the participating designers as “world-class artists and innovators.” This is a haute move for all parties involved, so even if you can't afford to have Todd Oldham decorate your home or an animated version of yourself by Tezuka Osamu or even Tory Burch flats you can have all of them on your desktop.
