Jimmy Kimmel Hates Bloggers

Jimmy Kimmel recently sat in for Larry King and interviewed the editor of Gawker.com, one of the original big gossip blogs. He was particularly interested in a feature they have called Gawker Stalker. Basically when ever people have a celebrity sighting, instead of pulling out their phone for their camera, they alert the site as to the name of the celebrity, their location, what they are doing, and even their geographic coordinates. Kimmel argues that the site publishes unchecked lies and endangers celebrities.

My question to you is are blogs harmless fun or in essence raising the price of fame?
